Daniel Smith
Owner & Managing Director. Runs discovery, writes every proposal and stays the escalation point for the life of the engagement. Fifteen years in software delivery.
An independent software studio in California's Central Valley, owned and run by Daniel Smith since 2017.
Before founding EnterApp, Daniel Smith spent ten years as a developer and then delivery lead at agencies in Sacramento and the Bay Area. The pattern repeated on every account: the client explained the problem to a salesperson, the salesperson explained it to a project manager, and the engineers received a document that no longer resembled reality.
EnterApp opened in Sanger in 2017 with a simple rule that still holds โ the people building your software are in the room when you describe what you need. The company has grown deliberately since then, staying at a size where every client is known by name rather than by ticket number.
Today the studio serves small and mid-sized businesses across the United States: logistics operators, clinics, equipment rental firms, agricultural suppliers, professional service practices and a handful of funded startups. Around seventy percent of our work each year comes from existing clients and their referrals.

We publish our full business details because you deserve to know who is behind the contract before you send a deposit.

EnterApp is nine people. There are no junior developers billed at senior rates and no work quietly handed to a subcontractor you never meet.
Owner & Managing Director. Runs discovery, writes every proposal and stays the escalation point for the life of the engagement. Fifteen years in software delivery.
Two delivery leads who run sprints, write the specifications engineers work from, and host the weekly demo calls with your team.
Four full-stack engineers covering web, mobile and integrations, plus a part-time DevOps specialist handling hosting, backups and monitoring.
One product designer responsible for research, wireframes, prototypes and the design system that keeps your product visually consistent.
Structured manual testing on real devices and browsers before every release, with automated regression tests on business-critical paths.
Support-plan clients get a named engineer who already knows their codebase, so requests never start from scratch.
You always know what a phase costs and what it includes before it begins. Change requests are quoted separately and never applied silently.
Repositories, domains, hosting, app store listings and third-party services are created in your name. Ending the relationship should never mean losing your product.
Proposals, reports and status updates avoid jargon. If a document needs a glossary, we wrote it badly.
We quote schedules we can meet rather than schedules that win the deal. When something slips, you hear it the same week, not at the deadline.
If your problem is better solved with an existing product, a configuration change or nothing at all, we say so โ even when it costs us the project.
Client data is accessed only when necessary for the work, stored in US-based infrastructure, and handled under the terms of our Privacy Policy.
Send us a short description of what you need. Daniel or a senior engineer will reply within one business day with honest feedback, a rough budget range and a realistic timeline โ no sales scripts.
